Balanced is a DeFi application that gives users access to two core financial actions: earning and borrowing through a money market, and trading through an exchange.
The original Balanced launched five years ago as an isolated stablecoin lending protocol. v2 is a fundamentally different product. It replaces the single-network stablecoin loan with a flexible money market that operates across networks, and expands the exchange to cover 12 ecosystems.
Balanced is also built around a specific product philosophy. No ads. No analytics. No social sharing prompts. No engagement farming. The app is designed to complete your task with confidence, then get out of your way. Transaction fees sit at 0.1% on trades and borrows, well below the industry standard, and cross-network transfers for compatible assets are free.
A cross-network money market. This is the headline feature. Supply crypto on one network to earn variable interest. Borrow any supported asset against your collateral, even if that asset lives on a different network.
Your collateral sits on Arbitrum. Your loan arrives on Solana. Same app. Same experience. The SODAX execution system coordinates the cross-network settlement, moving borrowed assets to your chosen network while your collateral stays in place. Interest rates are variable, with a fixed 2% option if you borrow bnUSD.
This is not how most money markets work. Most lending protocols operate in isolation: you deposit on Ethereum, you borrow on Ethereum. If your assets are on one network but you need liquidity on another, you're bridging, trading, and managing multiple positions manually. Balanced v2 removes that friction entirely.
A cross-network exchange. Trade across 12 networks: Arbitrum, Avalanche, Base, BNB Chain, Ethereum, Hyperliquid, Optimism, Polygon, Solana, Sonic, Stellar, and Sui. SODAX's Solver coordinates execution so users get competitive pricing without manually bridging, switching networks, or managing wrapped assets. Compatible assets like ETH, USDC, USDT, weETH, wstETH, bnUSD, and SODA can be transferred across networks for free.
Unified liquidity from day one. Instead of deploying isolated liquidity pools on each network, Balanced v2 draws from SODAX's unified liquidity system. New networks don't start with zero depth. Markets have access to effective liquidity immediately, avoiding the cold-start problem that limits most multi-network deployments.
SODAX's execution infrastructure handles everything that happens beneath the Balanced v2 interface.
When a user trades across networks, the Solver evaluates routing options across liquidity sources, and finds the best execution path. When a user borrows cross-network, the execution system coordinates settlement across networks so the collateral stays in place and the borrowed asset arrives where it's needed.
From the user's perspective, every action is one transaction. The complexity lives in the infrastructure layer, not the interface.
